In this role, you are the connecting link between IT, suppliers, and the business. You ensure that the right technology is available under the best possible conditions, while managing risks, driving innovation, and building sustainable supplier relationships.

You will become part of the central procurement organization, supporting the decentralized operating units. You will work in a team of ten driven procurement professionals who are collectively responsible for procurement strategy and supplier relationships across the entire organization. Your base location will be the Rotterdam region.
Within this team, you are the specialist in IT procurement. You will work closely with colleagues from Procurement, IT, Finance, Legal, and Information Security to ensure that our technological ambitions are supported by the right suppliers, contracts, and partnerships.
The central procurement organization plays an important role in the further professionalization and growth of Chane. Together, you will ensure an efficient, future proof, and sustainable procurement approach that contributes to the strategic objectives of the organization.
As an IT Category Manager, you are responsible for the complete procurement process for IT products and services. You translate Chane’s IT strategy into smart sourcing decisions and ensure the right balance between cost, quality, continuity, and innovation. You build strong relationships with strategic suppliers, lead contract negotiations, and monitor supplier performance throughout the duration of agreements. Together with colleagues from IT, Finance, Legal, and Information Security, you ensure that contracts, services, and innovation contribute to a stable and future proof IT environment. In addition, you monitor market developments, analyze data and pricing trends, and identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risks, and create additional value for the organization.
