Where will you be working?

Chane Terminals is growing fast and as we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented and analytical Business Development associate to support our Business Unit Green. As Business Development associate you will be responsible for developing our growth and sustainability projects and initiatives at our Rotterdam terminals. In this role you will report to the Business Development Manager.

In this role you will have a lot of responsibilities and you will work in the centre of a dynamic and growing organisation. You will identify and analyse market opportunities and will develop solutions for new and existing customers. You will work closely with our Business Unit management team, commercial teams, terminal operations teams as well as the project organization with the objective to drive forward the projects and realize business growth.

As Business Development associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the Business Unit in achieving it’s business targets

Representative activities

• Identify and analyze opportunities in the market.
• Develop conceptual solutions and commercial proposals. Taken into account both the external as the internal used requirements and meeting the companies targets.
• Work on process improvement and sustainability initiatives at the terminal.
• Evaluate existing processes, identify improvement areas and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with the terminal management team and departments; from the development phase until execution and realization.
• Participate in project teams to realize the selected opportunities and solutions.
• Support in financial planning and analysis, preparation of business cases and investment proposals

Requirements

• Academic Master’s degree (Technical/Engineering, Business/Economics or related field).
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience with business analysis (prior experience in Strategy Consulting, Business Development, optimization or a related field is a plus).
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential for data analysis, financial modeling, and presentation purposes.
• Exceptional analytical, strategical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders. Both in English and Dutch language.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• You are familiar with the mission and vision of Koole and the Business Unit, and are able to translate this into tangible growth opportunities
• Dutch language is essential in this role
